The Morikami Park Elementary School PTA Green Team Welcomes You!

Restoration 2011

On April 30th, 2011, fifty volunteers gathered as part of a Keep Palm Beach County Beautiful event to plant over 400 more native plants, trees and shrubs in the wetland area of the Morikami Preserve. We also collected litter and pulled invasive weeds. Later in May, we were thrilled to plant a donation of cypress trees from the Arthur R. Marshall Foundation that were seeded by Mr. Marshall from seeds collected from the Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge. We are honored to have the new additions and look forward to watching them grow in our new native habitat!
